Description
If you know pinball machines, you know that Bally's 1993 Twilight Zone is a huge hit for home pinball collectors. The game has many modes of play, and a challenge level that never gets stale or boring. This particular machine has a Powerball, a working clock (a relative rarity), a stainless steel Magna-Flip sign protector, a slot target support modification, and "mirror glaze" balls. The playfield shows very little wear, flippers are strong, and the machine plays great. You will have many years of fun with this game. We're moving to a smaller home with no finished basement, otherwise I wouldn't even consider selling this machine. All rubbers were replaced when I bought the machine in 2003. I will include many cleaning and maintenance supplies, including light bulbs.Operating and tech manuals are included. Please note: Pinball machines are complex devices. Once you have checked the machine out to your satisfaction, and the transaction in complete, the machine is sold as-is at that point. During transit it is not uncommon for bulbs to come loose, connectors to come unplugged, etc. These are all simple things to fix once the machine is set up in its new location.Revision: I know that it's stated in the description that this pinball machine is for local pickup only, but I unfortunately got about 12 emails asking if I can ship it. I wouldn't know how to crate and ship something like this, so I'm not even going to try. I'm located in NW Illinois, approx. 1 hour south of Rockford, 1 hour east of the Quad Cities, and 1 hour west of Dekalb. I would say it would make a nice day trip, but it wouldn't because there's nothing to see here. *I* don't even want to live here. But you would return home with a really nice TZ pinball machine, ready to play all night. If "Local pickup only" doesn't make sense to you...here's a summary: Do I ship? No. Am I sure? Yes! Is this a Captain America pinball machine? Sorry, no.If you have a Stamps.com account, you may inquire about shipping a 300 pound pinball machine. By all means, I will be happy to slap several thousand self-adhesive stamps on this gorgeous TZ and set it by my mailbox. But I can't guarantee delivery. I won't lick stamps.Update 8/29/08: I didn't expect such a strong response to a luxury item such as this in such a crappy economy, but it looks like SOMEONE's gettin' paid. Because I'm not a collector, I can't make any kind of judgements or appraisals. So this weekend I will try to take detailed pictures, especially of the cabinet, head and playfield. I know that "collector quality" TZ's are fetching $4500 and up. I don't think this machine can be considered collector quality. I know of at least one gouge in the side of the playfield. Never stopped me from enjoying the machine, but I know it could be a dealbreaker for a collector.I'm not going to try to represent the machine as any super-special specimen or anything like that. It's just a fully-functional game in great condition. So stay tuned.
